Located in the Historical city of Kolkata, StanSoft was formed as a partnership between two freelancers - Abhay Sobti and Simran Singh - as a partnership firm in the late eighties. It entered into the domain of Stock Broking backoffice solutions by chance through the leading Stock broker of that time - Surya Prakash Toshniwal. Slowly the system emerged as a ready-made product catering , through the same code, to the various needs of brokers. Slowly and steadily, Stansoft started providing its product to the neighbouring states of Bihar and gathered a sizable chunk of the market. With the advent of NSE, and then Demat Deliveries, with the growing need for a more and more sophisticated and easy-to-use interfaces, StanSoft stood out amongst its contemporaries as one the best system providers. Then it spread its operations to fertile markets like New Delhi and Mumbai also. Even in the legacy DOS version, SharePro provided eMails, Digital Certificate integration and branching facilities. More and more brokers opted for the system as time went by.

Products :
Exporters of backoffice software for NSE, DSE and CSE Brokers. ShareProRDBMS This is the main software installed at the Head Office. It connects to the Database server containing the Database and allows the users at HO to process trades, deliveries, etc. This product handles the complete operations of NSE & BSE's Capital and F&O and NCDEX/ MCX/ NMCE Commodity operations of the user. ShareProConnect This is is installed on the Application Servers connected to the Web Server of the Enterprise. It publishes the Data at The HO to Intranet Branches, Internet Branches and the Internet clients. When a remote user Connects to the HO using a browser, he actually connects to this software through the Web Server. ShareProOffline This is software is a subset of the SharePro RDBMS software running at HO and is installed at Branches for Offline Work. Data is sent from HO incrementally on a daily basis in ZIP files. The branches import the daily ZIP files in to the Offline version and are able to see all information pertaining to their branch [and sub-branches, if any] using the software. Each branch requires a separate copy of the software. Branches connected to the HO through Internet need not install this software. Offline version installed at each branch requires separate SqlServer database engine SSDigital Server software running on any one computer at HO. This software is responsible for collecting emails generated from ShareProRDBMS, packaging them and sending them to the recipients. Since only the machine where SSDigital is installed needs to be connected to the Internet, the remaining part of the backoffice network need not to be live on the internet at all. SSDigital also plays a crucial role of Digitally Singning documents generated in SharePro RDBMS using the installed Digital Certificates and sending them to the corporate FTP or the email recipients.
