Which has reached an annual turnover of Rs. 460 Million ($12.5 million in 1998) entirely in exports. Our group intends to double this export turnover in this year by following the twin focus areas of Textiles by AMJ and Tea by Raghunath Exports. Traditionally the group has been based on merchant exports and will continue to focus on such in the future, based on the very successful Japanese and Korean examples. Some production capacity is being added in synthetic spinning to meet the regular demand.
The mills that we deal with have either been established in the last 3 years, or have new units set up in the last three years. This is a pre-condition to our selection of a mill, to ensure state of the art technology. We firmly believe that the latest technology in plant and machinery is a prerequisite to procure the required quality standards.
